TEACCH 3 day Training

TEACCH 3 Day Induction led by the Director of Division, World renowned Professor Gary Mesibov

In conjunction with Westminster Special Schools, London:

 

Date: 26th – 28th  June 2017

Venue: Access & Inclusion Centre, Queen Elizabeth II Jubilee School

Cost: £450:00 (including buffet lunch and refreshments)

 

Aims: The primary aim of the TEACCH program is to prepare Autistic people to live or work more effectively at home, at school and in the community.

 

  • Improved adaptation: through the two strategies of improving skills by means of education and of modifying the environment to accommodate deficits. 
  • Parent collaboration: parents work with professionals as co-therapists for their children so that techniques can be continued at home.
  • Structured teaching: it has been found that children with autism benefit more from a structured educational environment than from free approaches.

     

    Who is the course for:  Teachers, parents, learning support staff, SENCO’s, social workers, all professionals working with pupils with Autism.
