Federation of Westminster Special Schools & Bi-Borough Inclusion Service

The Federation

Welcome to the Federation of Westminster Special Schools, Kennet West Skills Centre, and Outreach and Training.

We are a federated group of two special schools, Queen Elizabeth II Jubilee School (Ofsted graded good 2013)and College Park School ( Ofsted graded Good 2013) the Kennet West Skills Centre for post 16 vocational studies and a dedicated Access and Inclusion Centre, staffed by our Outreach team of specialist staff.

The Federation was created in January 2012, between the two special schools and over the last three years we have developed our Access and Inclusion Centre, staffed by a strong team of highly qualified outreach teachers, and more recently we have opened the Kennet West Skills Centre, providing vocationally focussed education for young people at Post 16. Together the Federation provides a high quality specialist provision for students aged 4 – 25yrs, as well as providing unique opportunities for professional development to a wide range of interested parties.

We are all passionate about ensuring all our students receive the best opportunities we can provide, and all pupils have their own personal learning programmes set within a needs led, integrated curriculum. By using a primary model of delivery our class based staff are able to really get to know their students and their families, enabling us to work effectively in partnership to supporting their learning needs.

Both of the schools, The Kennet West Centre and the Training Centre are based in new and/ or nearly new buildings, and being located in Westminster provides our students with a wide range of opportunities to learn a range of life skills within busy communities. It also supports our SMSC curriculum by enabling access to a richness of cultures and diversity. All our staff are dedicated to ensuring the best for all the pupils they work with, and recognise that the Federation will offer pupils, and themselves, new opportunities to develop skills, experiences and knowledge.

Further details about each aspect of the Federation can be found within each of their areas on the website, by clicking on their name or photogaraph.
