Welcome to Giraffe Class 

Teacher: Leonie Gilbert

I joined College Park School in October as the teacher of Giraffe Class. I bring eight years of experience working in schools, previously teaching Health and PSHE in a mainstream setting and serving as Head of Year 10. Throughout my career, I have been passionate about supporting young people not only academically, but also pastorally – helping them navigate life changes, build resilience and develop confidence as they grow into adulthood.

Before moving into education, I worked on a labour ward in midwifery. This experience has greatly shaped the care, empathy and knowledge I bring to my role in school. I am particularly passionate about students’ mental health and wellbeing, and I strive to create a supportive, nurturing environment where every student feels valued, understood and empowered to succeed.
