The course wiil cover how to recognise anxiety in children with autism and how changing situations can affect well being.
This is suitable for all staff working with children and young people with autism, the aims are to support us all with:
- Understanding Anxiety for children on the autism spectrum
- Hidden issues and effects on well-being and learning
- Recognising common signs and triggers for anxiety
- Strategies to help reduce anxiety
Considering anxiety in the current situation: health, mental health and transitions
Course Outcomes
To consider what is meant by anxiety To be aware of how anxiety can affect children with autism To look at strategies to support children with ASD who are affected by anxiety.
