Outline

This short information session, based on the Specialist Deaf Curriculum Framework: Preparation for Adulthood, is designed for local deaf young people from year 8 upwards and their parents or carers.

Description

During the session, we aim to cover and focus on:

Practical strategies to support the transition to adulthood.
Developing independence
Navigating career pathways
Managing finances including benefits (PIP, DSA)
Preparing for the workplace
Ensuring personal safety
Using technology for independent living.

There will be tea and coffee available. Please bring a mug or travel cup.
