This short information session, based on the Specialist Deaf Curriculum Framework: Preparation for Adulthood, is designed for local deaf young people from year 8 upwards and their parents or carers.

Are you a deaf young person in Year 8 or above or their parent or carer?

Join us to explore the Specialist Deaf Curriculum Framework and learn how to prepare for life beyond school.

What you’ll discover:

  • Practical strategies for independence and confidence
  • Education and career pathways – from GCSEs to apprenticeships and university
  • Managing money and benefits (PIP, DSA)
  • Health and wellbeing – navigating adult services
  • Technology and safety for independent living
  • Opportunities for work experience and supported internships
