Welcome to Beaver Class

Class Teacher: Kathie Mahalingam

My name is Kathie, and I am thrilled to be joining College Park School as the new teacher for Beaver Class. Originally from Ireland, I bring over eight years of experience in education and student support, with a strong focus on creating safe, supportive, and inclusive learning environments for children with diverse learning and medical needs.

Throughout my career, I have had the privilege of working with a wide range of students, including those with additional learning needs. These experiences have helped me develop inclusive lesson plans tailored to meet each child’s unique strengths and challenges. I am passionate about empowering pupils, improving accessibility to learning, and working closely with colleagues to deliver the highest standard of care and education.

It is my sincere intention to support each pupil in Beaver Class as they grow both academically and personally, and to ensure that every child feels valued, included, and capable of achieving their full potential.

I am incredibly excited to join this amazing team and to begin this new chapter of my teaching journey here at College Park School. I look forward to meeting and working with you all as we support our wonderful students together.
