Due to the Coronavirus situation, the School Council has had to take a bit of a pause, but we will be back soon once school reopens. In the meantime please see the updates from our meetings so far this year.
College Park School Council has been up and running since April 2013. Our aim as a school council is to provide each and every student with a voice and enable them to contribute positively to the decisions that are made in school.
Each class is represented by a student who has been elected by their class peers. Every council rep gets a badge and a book to write in the concerns of others. If a student has a concern, no matter how big or small they can approach their class rep and ask for it to be written in the book and discussed in the next school council meeting.
We meet once a month and so far the school council has been successful in campaigning for a whole school sports day next year, more lunchtime activities and larger portions of food at lunch time if they request it!!!
Attached below are updates from the monthly meetings.
