School Meals

School meals are provided by a company called Harrison Catering who provide staff that prepare meals on a daily basis. Please see below for the current menus being provided to the students.

Free School Meals

If parents believe that their child may qualify for entitlement to Free School Meals please contact the school office for more details. This allowance is a statutory right and it is important that you use it if you qualify. If you are in receipt of certain benefits such as income support or tax credits you may be entitled to Free School Meals. It is the parents' responsibility to make a claim for this and provide evidence of the Free School Meal entitlement to the school. More information can be found by telephoning the school on 0207 221 3454 (College Park) or 0207 641 5825 (QEII) and we will help with your application as far as we are able.

Free School meals will be provided for all children in Reception, Year 1 and Year 2.  Any family with children in these cohorts, who are in receipt of certain benefits, should still complete a free school meals application form.  This will enable the school to claim pupil premium for these pupils. Even if you only intend for your child to take occasional School Meals, the school can benefit from you claiming Free School Meals as we receive a grant.

For all other pupils:

The school requests that payment for school meals is made in advance, weekly, half-termly or termly. (If there is a reason why this may not be possible, please contact the school office to discuss payment arrangements).

Weekly payment is to be received on Monday of each week.

Payment can be made to the school office by cash or cheque (made payable to "Queen Elizabeth II Jubilee School" and a receipt will be issued to you. Should your child be absent on a Monday of any week, payment may be made on the first day of return.

Payment of school meals can also be made online via ParentMail. Simply log into your account to pay. You will also be able to check your child's account balance using ParentMail online or using the ParentMail app.

The cost of a school meal is:
  • £2.20 per day for Primary students, £11.00 per week.
  • £2.25 per day for Secondary students, £11.25 per week.

Should your child be absent on a day for which payment for a meal has been made, a credit for the amount will be carried forward to the next week.

Children will not be provided with a school lunch if their meal account is more than a week in arrears. If a parent genuinely forgets to pay in advance, the school may choose to grant a debt allowance of 5 meals.

If the debt is not cleared, parents must either provide a packed lunch or perhaps take the child home for lunch. In a case when a debt payment is not received nor a packed lunch provided, the parent will receive a phone call asking them to settle the outstanding balance.

Should any arrears of this nature remain unpaid by the end of the week; no further meals will be provided until full payment is received. No individual payments for meals will be accepted until the arrears have been cleared.

If payment of the debt is not received, the Head Teacher reserves the right to begin legal proceedings against parents to recover the debt and may ask you to attend a meeting to discuss the matter.
